375ml waxed and capped bottle into a BBT snifter.
Pours as thick as motor oil. Super dense. Huge oily mocha legs that coat the glass. No head, no lace. Nose is booze, chocolate, vanilla, molasses, and sweet soy sauce with touches of raisin and prune. Very aromatic. Deep and rich. Beer opens chocolate, sweet soy sauce, and loads of barrel. I get oak, booze, and vanilla in the back. More sweet soy sauce, a touch of cocoa powder in the middle. Finish is raisin, prunes, and tobacco with a boozy aftertaste. Body is full with low carbonation. Slick, oily, and chewy on the palate and goes down boozy and heavy with a long, lingering aftertaste that completely coats the palate.
The best thing about this beer is the feel. Incredibly robust body and taste. Great barrel character.
