Copenhagen 18/8 2024. 47,3 cl can from Kihoskh, Sønder Boulevard, Kbh. V. Brown can with a boiler and the name of the beer in white.
Pours opaque, murky mahogany with a mid-sized cream colored head Stable. Settles as thin but unbroken layer of foam just managing to cover the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. No lacing but a lot of smudges.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sugary sweet odor of honey and syrup that reminds me a bit of a cup of mead. Sweet malt, sugar, syrup and alcohol.
Light carbonation. Thick, oily, soft, sticky, flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a heavy, sugary sweetness followed by moderately strong sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet. Lingering. Finish is sticky and sweet.
A tad too sweet for my taste buds.

Maple syrup? With or without beer, I’m in. 16 oz. can. Hoping for a syrup bomb. Poured into a nifty Helm’s Deep glass given me by a cool dude named Chris.
Murky. If that’s not a primary color, it should be. Minimal head. The nose is brown sugar & a poo-ton of maple. Promising.
Evil Twin Batch 1000 suffuses my head with maple; I can almost feel it condensing in my ears. Which I’d lick, if I could. To get the syrup, I mean. Following is a belt of brown sugar, something akin to hardwood, sweet malts for days. Really, really sweet overall, almost too much even for me. Docked correspondingly for drinkability.
I am having a first-ever thought: there is too much maple syrup. The sweetness is overpowering. Strictly on taste excellent; but it wears out its welcome quickly. Pretty good brew.
