This is relatively straightforward for a fruited Weisse, just raspberries and a generous dry hop. I probably should’ve had this one fresher but I’m sure it’ll still be fine. Plus it’ll be nice and refreshing for this 95° summer day. Let’s get into it
Pours an opaque brownish red with 2 fingers of soapy off white head that slowly fades to a thin ring and leaves minimal lacing
It’s very raspberry forward in the nose. Not much else interesting going on but it’s still solid. I’m picking up on aromas of jammy raspberry, orange juice, strawberry, sweet honey, light lemon zest, and bready malt
Where it was a bit one-note in the nose, it sadly turns a bit bland in taste. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting strawberry, lemon zest, tart raspberry, crackery malt, and light orange juice. The swallow brings notes of bready malt, honey, orange juice, jammy raspberry, and light strawberry
A medium body pairs with gentle tingling carbonation, resulting in a slick beer. Finishes a tad sticky but mostly refreshing
This obviously would have been better fresh, but I don’t think it wouldn’t been that much better. It’s just a tad bland but still solid
