Drank from a 1 pint can purchased on Tavour
Canned on 12/12/24
Served in a tulip
The beer poured a fuller bodied and completely opaque, deep mauve color. Thicker than your typical fruited kettle sour but not quite as viscous as a smoothie sour. A frothy, finger-tall, bright white crown topped the liquid, but it quickly dripped to a thin, resilient collar. A spotty wall of lacing blanketed the glass after each sip.
The aroma was outstanding. Berry notes dominated. Raspberry specifically. Freshly picked, sweet and juicy raspberries came to mind. There was a sweet, fragrant, vanilla quality as well that was definitely reminiscent of marshmallow. Sour cherry was also detectable. Hint of zippy lemon too. As the beer sat, a subtle strawberry note emerged. Later the strawberry presence really intensified.
The flavor profile was similar to the nose and just as impressive. Berry notes dominated once again. Raspberry came through strongest. A sweet, vanilla-like quality was quite apparent as well. Marshmallow perhaps. Lots of zippy lemon in the center. More tart raspberry and some sour cherry appeared on the back end and in the finish. Sweet-tart raspberry notes lingered after the swallow.
The mouthfeel was medium-full bodied. Creamy, slick and smooth. The liquid contained a super fine, spritzy effervescent that fluffed up nicely on the palate.
Evil Twin’s fruited sours are always super flavorful and enjoyable, and this one was very impressive as well. The berry presence was really fresh and bright, and the marshmallow addition lent the beer the perfect amount of vanilla-like sweetness.

Classic berry sour from Evil Twin. They straddle the line between fruited kettle and smoothie style sours, Typical nice magenta opaque color in the body. Nice and sweet and tart. Fruity with a pleasant marshmallow pillow. It's the tried and true style form Evil Twin here. Aftertaste is like a berry tootsie pop.
