16 ounce can, U 4 R stamped on the bottom and I have no idea what that's supposed to mean. Big thanks to Brutaltruth for this one! Served in a Teku glass, the beer pours a hazy golden/orange color with about an inch off-white head that stuck around for a while. There's also a lot of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like pineapple, grapefruit, mango, orange peel, cantaloupe and some bready malt. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some piney hops and honey noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's smooth and creamy with a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this one, would like to try a fresher version of this at some point but it's still drinking good now!

16oz can served in a tulip glass. Stamp on bottom of can: U 4 R 09:59:21.

Appearance: Cloudy yellow-orange with a massive white head. Fine strands of persistent lacing noted. Impressive that the lacing stays this long given how high the ABV is. The last of the pour brought along quite a bit of sediment and floaters. Not the most appealing beer to look at.

Smell: Citrus, mango, yeasty, sweet.

Taste: Citrus, tropical fruit, bready sweet malt, maybe even a bit of a candi sugar note.

Mouthfeel: Really smooth and nicely thick; approaching creamy. Just right carbonation, and a nicely slick finish. Surprisingly not super sticky on the teeth with all these hops.

Overall / Drinkability: The can says this is a "quadruple IPA", which would suggest 4x the normal malt bill.....or as someone else who rated this beer suggested, maybe it's a combination of a Belgian quad and a IPA. It's very sweet, the alcohol is well hidden, and it's surprisingly not a palate wrecker with what I thought was going to be a lot of hops. I think maybe it's more like a malt forward double IPA that has been doubled, and that sweetness is why it comes across like a Belgian quad, but it doesn't have that Belgian style exactly. This is a hard beer to pin down. I like it, and at times I think it's too sweet as well.

From the 16 oz can in a snifter. This monster pours a chill hazed
cross between orange marmalade and straw with a thick head of white
foam that settles to a thick clumping layer with very nice lacing. Nose of
orange zest, mango, melon, pine, herbal hops, and sweet candy sugars
in the Belgian sense. Flavors exceed the nose with candy sugars, pineapple,
mango, papaya, melon, light pine, light herbal hops, orange zest, and honey sweet
malts. Mouth feel is medium leaning towards medium light, smooth, medium
carbonation, and finishing with a nicely balanced tropical and subtle pine
finish.

Overall, a Belgian quad of the IPA world----excellent!

Cheers
