On this occasion, the entire contents of a pint can were emptied into a clear glass liter mug. The action resulted with a very modest off-white head resting above a dark apricot-amber liquid that's opaque, but not neccessarily dull. The aroma is mostly tropical fruit referenced, with some pine and plenty of muddled grains, especially oats. To taste, with the alcohol included, it seems almost minty. The tropical fruit character of the smell gives way almost entirely to a sharply piney hop bite. There's some shallow sweetness up front, but by the finish, it's mostly a hopfest with a pleasant alcohol burn. Like most barley malt reduced modern IPAs, this could use a little more counterbalance to the hops and at least a bit of an improvement in its body. The positive is the oats and wheat don't diminish the hop presence and this drinks very cleanly. Completing the visual, the negligible head didn't last and no glass lacing was seen. Still, it wasn't a bad way to drink a pint with an ABV at eight percent.
