This one pours a dark black color, with a small head, and a little bit of lacing.
This smells very roasty, with spicy rye and oakiness, caramel, molasses, vanilla, and licorice.
As this warmed up, it got a bit too spicy and boozy, which is a little surprising given it’s under 10% ABV. The various flavors when this was colder were very nice though, with some licorice, black peppery spice, roasted malt, vanilla, and caramel. It’s definitely reminiscent of an Irish coffee.
This is medium bodied, creamy, with a spicy bite on the finish.
I like this idea of this, and it was executed pretty well, even though it got a bit intense as it warmed more.
