22 oz bottle.
Lightly smokey amber body with a decent head.
Aroma of equal parts hops and meaty smoke.
Flavor: so much smoked meat flavor I'd think there was some well-done smoked kielbasa or the like in here if I didn't know better.
O: more smokey and a touch less hoppy than expected. Highly recommended for reluctant vegetarians.

A: Crystal clear, golden, medium light carbonation, looks to have a relatively light body. Always a bit turned off by filtered beers. Nice lacing on glass.
S: Fairly prominent smokiness, bacon-y. Some Cascade grapefruitness as well. Mild, but interesting.
T: Very, very smoky. Very mild grapefruit hoppiness, slightly citrus orange maybe. Relatively mild bitterness. Well attenuated, dry. Very mild malt character, maybe slightly toasted bread. Very, very clean. This is a pretty tasty beer, but it isn't much of an IPA, all hop bitterness and flavor pretty well subdued by the smoke characteristic. The smoke characteristic is nice, rather bacon-y. As it warms, hops do come out a bit more. If this was called a hopped rauch ale or something like that as opposed to an IPA, I'd probably score it even higher.
M: Nice, dry, medium carbonation, medium-light body. Great.
O: Solid beer, more hops, specifically at end of boil/dry-hop would improve this beer and blend hop aroma/flavor with the smoke. Still, it's very tasty, and the light body and ABV at only 6.5% keeps it fairly drinkable. Very nice beer, recommend.

On cask at The Old Toad for their cask festival.
Pours an amber, almost crimson color, with a very small quarter inch head, and barely and lacing.
Smells like grapefruit, rye, a bit of smoke, and some sweet malts.
The taste is similar. Malt up front, somewhat sweet, with some rye spiciness, black pepper, almost like pumpernickel bread, hop flavor in the middle, predominantly pine and herbal hop flavors, with a smattering of sweet grapefruit as well. The smoke comes in subtly at the end, not as big of a smoke kick as I'd thought, but that could certainly be because of the cask.
Medium bodied, slightly creamy, lively cask mouthfeel. Very drinkable.
I've liked almost everything I've tried from this local brewery, this was very nice.
