On tap at Three Heads Brewing in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a dark-ish orange color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
Smells like piney, grass, perfumey hops, just a hint of citrus, and a pretty big malt backbone.
I definitely wish there a lot more citrusy hop character to this one- the description definitely made it seem like there would be more of that. There's a lot of bitterness, and sort of oily/slick/perfumey aftertaste to this one that makes it unpleasant. There's a sturdy but mostly pleasant malt backbone. It's maybe a little too present but nothing horrible.
This is medium bodied, a bit too slick, with a normal level of carbonation.
Not their best hoppy beer, for sure.
