Pours a clear pale brown producing less than 1.5 fingers of pale khaki, frothy, somewhat lasting head that recedes to a thin collar ring, only a hint of surface cap leaving only a few wisps of lace. A respectable amount of effervescence streams up from the bottom. Aroma is thin for the style: fruity, toasted brown bread, cereal, toffee, raisin & roasted nuts. Molasses is very faint. Taste is sweet, toast, bready, fruity, sweet potato, toffee, molasses, roast, hints of dark fruits. The finish being peppery, fruity & sugary molasses. Aftertaste is a slightly sweet, burnt bread, molasses, fruity & spicy with a minor bitterness. Mouthfeel is low-medium bodied with moderate carbonation, slick & prickly.

12 oz bottle; undated.
Pours with a fine looking, clear dark brown body topped by a thin but durable beige head.
Very nice aroma and flavor too, with plenty of malt and excellent (sweet but near neutral) bitter-sweet balance.
Medium-full body with medium carbonation.
Partially hidden alcohol except in the nose.

Aggressive pour into a generic Hefe glass - resulted in a tightly packed off white head which dissipated to a 1/4" ring.

On the eyes, a nice clear brown color with a large amount of small bubble emanating from nucleation sites etched in the bottom of the glass.

On the nose, nothing much, but maybe a slight hint of malt and smoke.

Up front, definite smokiness which is carried through the middle and back (surprising and nice for a change!) along with a hint of malt and no evidence of the 7% abv.

This is a very nice alternative to other lagers - it is refreshing and satisfying.

Will definitely seek out and purchase.

Thanks for reading.

Pours mahogany with candy orange hues. Thin beige head that falls fast in the tasting glass. Nutty earthy and a little plummy fruit. No real hops on the nose . dry sweet raisin. A couple fumes from alcohol. Creamy malt. Not too much complexity. Bitter chocolate develops like silk as the beer warms.

This one pours a dark-ish clear brown, with a small head, and a little bit of lacing.

Smells like spicy hops, dark fruit, slight booze, with a fairly strong malty and bready aroma as well.

This is definitely one of the better new beers from 3HB's new facility. There's an interesting almost rye-like spiciness to this. I don't believe there's rye, so it must be the spiky alcohol and slight hoppiness playing tricks on my mind. It's quite malty, and surprisingly rich, with a feel reminiscent of brandy-soaked bread, or brandy soaked fruitcake. I'm surprised by how much I dig this, as for the most part, I haven't really like much of anything Three Heads has made since moving to their new facility.

This is medium bodied, maybe a tiny bit thin, but very drinkable, with a good level of carbonation.

This is very solid rendition of a dopplebock.
