On tap at Eli's B&W Bar in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a light brown color, with a small white head, and not much lacing.
This smells like sweet grainy malt, and not much else. It doesn't bode well for the rest of the beer.
This, like more than 90% of the beers that this brewery makes, is very flawed. It does not nail the style in any meaningful way - there's no hop character at all - not even a light balancing one. The malt character is quite wrong, as it's just caramel and fruity sweet, with none of the toasted bready goodness you want out of this style. It's not a careful brew here, and it's in-artfully made.
This is syrupy and underattenuated, with not a ton of drinkability. It was a chore to get this one down.
I didn't expect much out of this, but I was at least hoping for something redeeming here, as this is one of my favorite styles.

An interesting Oktoberfest. Pours very light with a thin head. Starts light but develops a malty flavorful finish. Very deceiving at first but finishes strong.

Pours a perfect golden amber with a fat enough head of cream colored foam that lasts long enough and clings all the way down. Nose is breaddy and toasty with malt. Soft earth from hops. No off scents. A bit of sweet spice and a hint at malt sweetness make the beer seem a bit more elegant. Drinks smoothly with no real hop flavors. What ever variety they are , they are grassy. I like them and they have a sweet earthy spice. Good browned crust on the bread. The carbonation is a bit too soft and this could use a little bite from bubble. At 6 percent you can actually taste where the beer would become too light in the body from alcohol if it had gone higher. You can also almost taste a beginning of a grapey ester that if augmented by the abv would have ballooned in the flavor of the beer. So where some oktoberfests finish more crisply than this one and that is because of a mere .3 percent. This beer is very very good. A very light and welcome bitterness cleanses the palate.
