Undated bomber at 45 degrees into shaker
Aroma coffee, light roasted malt, chocolate
Head average (3.5 cm, aggressive pour), light brown, creamy with rocks, diminishing to a ring of mountain silhouettes and rocky layer
Lacing good – partial rings of tiny bubbles
Body dark brown, opaque
Flavor weak and muddled – no coffee coming through; no hops, no alcohol, no diacetyl. Update: a couple of minutes after finishing a drink, the coffee finally comes through.
Palate light to medium, watery, lively carbonation

Poured into a tulip out of a bottle.

A – Black as night. Half finger of tan head that settles down quickly. Tiny bit of lacing.
S – This smells awesome. Coffee, milk, molasses, chocolate. Nice.
T – Nice roasted malts to start. Sublime amount of coffee flavor. Not overwhelming. Touch of bitterness. Milk chocolate and cream flavors. Molasses and toffee. Bit of sweet vanilla at the end.
M – Light to medium bodied. A bit thinner than expected. Lively carbonation.
O – This is a very nice beer. Great aroma and very nice flavors. Well done.

appearance: Medium dark brown. Decent mocha head on the pour that mostly subsides.
smell: Java up front. Some malt. Decent enough nose.
taste: Hops make a showing here. Nice combo with the coffee, leaves an interesting bitter finish.
overall: Interesting brew. Truth in advertising...this is indeed a coffee porter.
