Here is an unfiltered, dark amber ale. The head is thin but still leaves a sticky lace. The malty aroma belies the hop bite. While both are present, rich sweet malt wins out.
The alcohol is strong; I believe it draws out more malt than expected. The hops are powerful. I guess that makes this one full-flavored, full-bodied brew. The carbonation is higher than expected. The long lasting aftertaste has a nice balance.
Overall, a very good and complex beer. This went down very nicely with the Mexican food served here.
