Poured from a 12oz. bottle into a snifter.
A - The beer nearly exploded upon opening, but settled into a hazy, red amber with a bubbly head.
S - Vanilla beans, dry hops, toasted malts, a bit of booze.
T - Vanilla taste hits immediately, with malts fading in quickly and a slight bitterness near the end. Slight warm booziness in the aftertaste.
M - Thin-bodied, way overcarbonated.
O - Interesting palate here, but flavors tend to get lost in each other and can't really shine. A good idea that needs work on its execution.

The bottle is way too carbonated. Once poured, however, there is 0 carbonation left in the beer. The nose and flavor are all over the map. Some floral hop presence mixed with bourbon, vanilla and caramelized malt. The combination of all these is sort of a mess and harsh.

Aroma is slightly floral, with deep caramelization notes. Bourbon is somewhat subtle.
Flavor reveals more oak and bourbon character. There's a bit of hop resin shining through. Finish is more bitter and a touch harsh.

I had a pint of this after sampling this and four different single bean variants at the brewery. Interestingly enough none of the single bean variants matched the regular barrel aged offering. The barrel was certainly present but not over powering. The beer was served in a plastic cup so it was hard to judge the appearance but I don't care about that anyway.
Lots of bourbon on the nose and enough on the taste to not be "hot." The vanilla beans certainly shown through on the regular variant. A must try if you can get it at the brewery.
