L- clear, dark brown with little to no head.
S- upon second, more aged sampling definitely more of a whiskey burst in the nose
T- definitely get more whiskey and chocolate malts with an earthy bitterness on the finish
F- a bit thin, but pleasant nonetheless
O- definitely better upon the second sampling with a more satisfying marriage of the Heaven Hill whiskey barrel flavor and the chocolate malt flavors followed by the traditional hoppy bitterness on the back-end. Not sure if a little more time in the bottle made this happen or my experience at the Barrels on Bonna fest. In either case, I find this a wonderful small batch BA IIPA.

Bottle 11/73, poured into a tulip glass. Billed as a brown IPA aged in whiskey barrels. No nose to speak of, not a lot of flavor, brown, IPA, barreled, not much of anything. Finish faintly spruce-like, the closest in similarity being maybe a gruit.
