Mahagony colored with a boat load of bubbles ringing around the glass. A fluffy light off white head erupts then fades just as quickly.
Nose on this is just damn tasty. Big bready malts, layers of cereal, toffee, brown sugar, prune and raisin. Hint of oak and bourbon with a earthy hop component.
Love what Flat 12 does with this beer. Thick round and juicy. Huge malt, slightly sweet in the middle and then dries out on a dime at the finish. Biscuity, bready and delicious. Whiskey, oak, vanilla, toffee, prune, date, brown sugar, hay, and straw. Very delicate if only a bit thin in the mouth. Great amber I could drink again and again.

On tap at Tomlinson Tap Room. Poured a very nice ruby red with a bit of nice head and a bit of nice lacing. Nice deep malty aroma, slight caramel tones with a nice bright crystal malt zing to it. Good flavor, deep and malty, nice and sweet, faintly tangy with a bit of caramel in the flavor. Goes down well, a nice Irish red.
