Had this on tap at the Elbow Room. I believe this is my first crack at this style. Served in pint glass.

A- Clear golden color, maybe a little amber hints to it. Thin head to it with a little lace left behind.

S- Nice floral hop aroma. Some slight citrus maybe at the end. Some grainy, bready aroma to the backbone throughout the nose. Very pleasant nose.

T- Nice light flavors bounce off everywhere. Slight fruit flavors up front, maybe grape to it. Get some floral hops in the middle with mild bitterness. Malts are in the background throughout and support nicely all the other flavors. Very refreshing beer.

M- Lighter on the medium body side. Good carbonation. Very smooth and refreshing.

O- Very nice beer, especially for the summer. Good flavors, would want another one for sure sometime.

Very bright, pale gold color with the occasional rising bubble or three. Thin surface layer of wispy foam that settles to a strand of foam around the edges of the glass. Spotty bits of random foam slowly slide back into the beer. Second pour generates a good half inch of foam that takes five minutes to settle.

Soft floral aromas, sweet toasted biscuits, orange zest, light yeast and malty breadiness.

Flavor is complex and unique, leading off with a bitter hop bite that segues into creamy banana, orange and lemony notes, with a lasting bitter, earthy hop presence in the dry aftertaste. Smooth creamy feel, lower carb levels, nicely balanced. Overall more hoppy that the typical Kölsch, but it works very well here. Could finish off a whole growler easily (or 2, since Flat 12's are 32oz.).

Thanks Howard for the hookup!
