Big thanks goes out to aasher for sharing this one during the One Year Anniversary of My Wreck Tasting! Served from growler into a Crooked Stave ‘Crooked Line’ tulip. Poured fluorescent yellow-orange with a minimal white head. There was no lacing evident throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, fruit, banana, spice, grain, and fruit hop. The flavor was of sweet malt, fruit, spice, grain, earth, and earth hop. It had a light feel on the palate with medium carbonation. Overall this was a fairly good brew. The saison aspect going on in this one was actually quite nice. There was a nice balance going on here that made it quite easy to drink and enjoyable. The lacing aspect of this one kind of killed the appearance of this one for me which was unfortunate due to the nice color of the beer itself. This was the third beer from Flat 12 that I have tried (all thanks to aasher) and I was not disappointed by any of them. They appear to be doing good things there from what I can tell. I suggest you check them out if you get the opportunity.

This is Half Cycle but with a Belgian farmhouse yeast, shared at the Charlotte Tasting 2012. This one pours a a light bodied, very cloudy tarnished honey gold in color with a slight white lacing. The nose is rich and fruity with plenty of bubblegum Belgian yeast and a nice American hop profile. The flavors switch the prominence between yeast and hop profile. The flavors are great and hoppy, dry and piny. There is a nice yeasty finish with good fruity, clovy notes and a dry finish. It's very well rounded. It drinks easily for being over 7%. This is a really nice Belgian style IPA. Try this it you find it on draft.
