Imperial stout blended with Mexican vanilla and Blueprint Guatemala Esperanza coffee.
We’ve switched up our recipe for LSD this year, using versatile Kviek yeast. The result is an enhancement of the notes we loved best in this beer - rich fudge & chocolate notes, with dark jammy bramble fruit.

(original review from May 2021) See initial review of LSD Coffee and add a good dose of vanilla flavor and sweetness.
(todays review) See initial review, another stowaway in the back of the bottom shelf of the kitchen fridge. It didn't hold up so well.

Pours black with two fingers of caramel-colored foam. Aroma is vanilla bean, coffee, toffee, chocolate, cocoa, and roasty, toasty malts. Flavor profile pushes the depths even further, hitting rich and dark notes of roasty, toasty and caramely malts. Lightly bitter malt bill is complimented by lightly roasty coffee and balanced out by vanilla, chocolate, toffee and molasses. Really rich and full. Mouth feel is thick with a full, creamy texture. Overall, huge with an expansive array of hearty stout notes. Coffee and vanilla bean are incredible additions.

Wow, just when I thought the base LSD couldn't get better without the barrel! This is a very rich coffee stout. Smooth, velvety, creamy, and dark. The vanilla meld into the matrix of coffee, graham cracker, dark chocolate, sweet malt, chestnut, barley, and caramel flavors wonderfully. There is slight booziness, but only a hint considering the abv. Smell is vanilla forward, but still has great dark roast coffee and dark chocolate.
