While all the cool kids are craving those delicious, hazy IPAs, some of us remember the original hazy beers. In this case, Pat Berger of Kaiser Tiger wanted to bring back a traditional German-style weiss bier. The aroma pops with bananas and a slight bit a clove. This throwback shows why weissbiers were the original haze craze.

16oz can. Poured out a slightly cloudy, golden amber color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left minimal lacing on the glass. It smelled of banana, clove, spices and sweet wheat. Nice balance of banana, clove, spices and cracked wheat taste. Minimal bitterness.

Can dated 7/30/20 into pint glass. Pours a hazy deep gold with a thin and brief off-white head. Initial impression is bananas and clove, with a hint of bubblegum. Mouthfeel is smooth and quite substantial for a low-ABV beer. Finish is sweet but not cloying.
I love big IPAs and Stouts, so I wasn't too sure what I'd think of this one. OG Haze Craze is a very enjoyable departure from my normal fate. I'm pleasantly surprised.
