The first turn of our Foeder Crafters 60bbl foeder produced this light and funky beauty of a beer. The aroma of tropical fruit and funk leads right into a spritzy and utterly crushable beer.

Wow. Brettanomyces funk with Sweet Tarts and Pixie Stix. All the chalky, sweet-citric Sweet Tart flavor. Not as sweet as candy, but the flavor is pure funk and candy. Sour is great. It's the chalk for me. A sour beer can taste like anything. I prefer it doesn't taste like this. Anyone want the other three cans from my four-pack? hahaha

Canned 11/2?/21 (date smudged); drank 5/24/22 @ the Yarchives.

Mostly opaque yellow/orange appearance.

An even pour yielded a nice bright white head; no lace.

Tart lemon, orange citrus & mild barnyard funk in the nose.

Medium mouthfeel.

Tart lemon, orange peel & mild funk flavors; this reminds me of a more bold Orval. I liked this!

12oz can. Can bottom is stamped 'CANNED ON: 09/01/2020'.
Partly cloudy, straw colored body. Small bubble, one finger head is fed by a tremendous rising bubble show.
Aroma is lemon, with a good amount of leather saddle funk. Citrus ultimately smells sweet.
Taste is tart with lemon, also lots of guava. Less on the funk than in the aroma but does has the Brett reminder. Aftertaste is quick to diminish but still expresses the tropical fruit and slight funk.
Frothy, semi thick mouth feel. Quite dry in expression. Excellent carbonation.
Mostly crushable at its ABV%, but quite delivering of smell and flavor at this lower ABV%.

Aroma is very sweet sugar/pixie sticks and slight funk. The flavor is fruit/lime, malts and a long and very strong pixie stick/somewhat dry/sweet finish.

Pale pastel yellow, slightly hazy when backlit. A finger or two of foam quickly fades to nothing.

Aroma has some Bretty funk and a lightly tropical fruitiness, mainly passionfruit.

Taste is tart with passionfruit notes, sweet tarts, and a mild Brett earthiness in the aftertaste. Fairly straightforward. Light bodied, crisp lacto tartness, decent carbonation. Reminds me more of a kettle soured ale than a foederbier. A bit simple, but light and quenching in the summer heat.

Light copper colored with excellent clarity. There’s a fingernail of off white covering less than a quarter of the top. The nose is light grains and a touch of brettanomyces. I’m tasting just a gentle kiss of brettanomyces and otherwise light cereal grains. The mouth is crisp and fairly light for a wild ale.

16oz can. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a very small, white head of foam. It smelled funky with phenolic notes and sweet caramel. Funky, spicy taste with a subtle sweetness.
