collab w/ four paws brewing and living room coffee. less than a month old, 12 oz can dumped into a snifter in my usual messy pour, this things an almost clear burnt orange/amber that sprouted up a tiny little fizzy white head which immediately faded away without a trace. one hit wonder kinda thing. nose took a while to have much but the coffee is really shining through after it's warmed a bit, with some toast, caramel sweetness and hints of chocolate joining in. bit of earthiness keeps it from getting too sweet and one note. flavor is more of the same and really nicely balanced between all, with the coffee taking a step away from the usual shot of espresso that i'm used to in stouts and being a bit more pleasant. leaves a lingering sweetness but everything feels subtle which i'm quite enjoying. medium-bodied, kinda coats the mouth for a moment and then leaves and completely hides that nearly 9% it's packing. solid beer! cheers to 2nd shift and their love for cats.
