Imperial stout with peanuts and chocolate. Like drinking an Peanut Butter Cup.

12 oz. can. Black body. Smells of strong peanut butter, bourbon, woodiness. Tastes of bourbon and alcohol, peanut butter, a little chocolate. Heavy and boozy, but tasty all around. Bourbon hits hard.

2024 can (16oz / 8.4% abv) into a perception glass. pours a kind of see-through darker brown but gathers in the glass a glossy near-black with a thin dark khaki colored foam head that quickly fades away. roasted malts with a light roasted peanut aroma in the background on the nose. taste adds a little more chocolate into the mix but i get way more roasted peanuts than peanut butter. medium-full mouthfeel. not bad. a little one dimensional but tasty enough for an 8% stout.

Peanut butter adjuncted Stouts are not something I usually seek out, but they can be very fun when done right. They also don't typically tend to be barrel aged so I'm even more intrigued by this one. Let's crack it open and see what it's all about
Pours nearly pitch black with a finger of creamy tan head that fades to a thin cap and leaves minimal lacing
It's very nutty in a raw way in the nose, with a surprising boozy bite for only being 9.1%. I'm picking up on aromas of roasted peanut, cocoa powder, dark roast coffee, charred malt, toasted oak, sweet bourbon, light fusel alcohol, and vanilla
It trends a tad sweeter in the nose, but never becomes overbearing. On the front end of the sip I'm tasting peanut butter, charred oak, milk chocolate, sweet whiskey, caramel, black cherry, light vanilla, and light roast coffee. The swallow brings notes of peanut butter, milk chocolate, sweet bourbon, charred oak, burnt caramel, light roast coffee, and light fusel alcohol
A medium body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a slick beer. Finishes neutral with a boozy bite
My only "complaint" about this one is that it's relatively boozy for the abv. That being said, I still dig the hell out of this one

On draft at the brewery. Poured an opaque, jet-black color with a small, brown head of bubbly foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of peanut butter, chocolate, and sweet caramel. Delicious creamy peanut butter taste with chocolate and a touch of bitterness.

Canned 01/13/2021. Poured a beige film, not foam, head. No lacing. But an aroma of peanuts from the can followed through to the taste. Definitely peanuts. This is chased by chocolate, which sweetens the beer and cloaks the 9.1 ABV. No bite or burn. Smooth mouthfeel and tasty, cold out of the fridge.

12oz can. Stamped canning date is '11/05/2020'.
Black colored body, with a thin red mahogany back lit edge. Hard pour brings out a partial finger tan head, which withers back to a partial cap. Small, scattered lacing spots left behind.
Aroma of dark roasted malts, with the strong smell of peanuts. Some chocolate can be discerned from the roasted malts.
Taste is creamy milk chocolate and peanuts. Underneath the dark roasted malts have a bite. A little sweet, not bitter.
Creamy, slightly thicker than medium mouth feel. Low carbonation.
This is remindful of a chocolate peanut candy bar. There is evident alcohol from the higher ABV% but more in the nostrils than a mouth burn.
