We've ventured back into the world of fruited Berliner Weisse-style beers! Named for our resident African Grey Parrot - Otis, these beers are brewed with 2 lbs of fruit per gallon and finished on 2lbs of Madagascar vanilla beans.
This version is Blueberry/Vanilla and is a slightly tart, fruit bomb (that won't explode - we promise).

16oz can. Poured out a purplish color with a light pink head of bubbly foam. It left minimal lacing on the glass. It smelled of tart blueberry, subtle vanilla, and some caramel notes. Lots of tart blueberry taste with vanilla, cream and some lemon.

Well made, bright flavor of real fruit, nice lemony Lacto zip and strong vanilla make this a juicy crusher.

Named for the beloved parrot Otis that lives at the brewery, this series of Berliner Weiss beers comes with fruit and vanilla added. This version was peach and vanilla, and it poured an opaque deep yellow-orange color with a thick, creamy head that dissipated quickly. A faint fruit and vanilla aroma precedes a balanced flavor. Peach and vanilla don't overpower and the sourness all work well together. Spritzy carbonation lighten up the body. Overall, this is a nice offering. Recommend.
