A collaboration with our friends Free Will Brewing from Pennsylvania.
Brewed with traditional German lager yeast and noble hops, this beer has a nice bitterness to it with slightly spicy and less biscuity notes than it’s Czech-style counterpart

poured from a 16oz crowler into a New Glarus pilsner glass. pours a straw gold with a slight chill haze and 2 fingers of fluffy, almost saison-like head. Noble hops aromas compliment bread, grass and lemon on the nose. the lemon and
biscuit / bread flavors really punch on the tongue with a slightly dry, herbal finish. that finish isn’t my favorite flavor profile but this is quite drinkable. it takes away a slight bit from it being refreshing but it’s still plenty good. not super highly carbonated which leads to a little fuller mouthfeel than i expected out of the style. overall, a decent German-style pils. i could use a little more crispness from carbonation on the mouthfeel and that bitter, off, hay-like flavor in the finish wasn’t my favorite.
