Aged for 18 months in Peerless Rye Barrels. Blended with Vietnamese Cassia Cinnamon chips & Tongan Vanilla beans.
Smooth cinnamon & vanilla balance wonderfully with the spice of the rye barrels creating a very full bodied, smooth & rich stout that is giving us huge French Toast vibes!

Had on tap. This is why I always visit 2nd Shift when in STL. They ALWAYS come through with the LSD series. This is the natural progression of bcbs vanilla rye imho. Pitch black oily pour with a brown cap, spotted sporadic lacing. Smell and taste are the same: taza chocolate fudge with an emphasis on that beautiful spiced cinnamon, vanilla, rye, whiskey, toasty oak, molasses, with supporting dried dark fruit, wet earth, and anise. The feel has great barrel character to go with the cooling vanilla and spiced cinnamon, smooth and warm in a luxurious way all together. They absolutely nailed the proportions here, beer of the year candidate. The wife loved it
