Sampling a cellar temp 16 oz can poured into my snifter. Date Stamped 6/14/2021. This sat in my cellar a bit longer than I had hoped to do. But lets see what we have got here.
Beer pours a rich dark coffee color with a fluffy yet dense beige head of 2.5 cm. this foam fades to a sturdy edge layer and one large wispy island that floats lightly in the center of my glass.
The aroma on this beer is some light chocolate notes and a bit of citrusy fruit. not really any hop note and the chocolate is sort of like cocoa powder, not candy bar. Not any hint of the ABV which checks out for this 6% brew.
First sip reveals a medium to light body with fine, tingly carbonation. The beer drinks pretty easy.
Flavor is some cocoa powder, mixing with some tropical fruit note of mango mixing in. Its sort of like the chocolate covered orange flavor. Never any hop notes and the beer hides its ABV.
Glad to have finally tried this one , but do wonder what it tasted like fresher.
