Poured stout black with a two centimeter medium brown head that left little lacing. The beer itself looked almost oily, normally indicative of viscosity.
The taste is, where to begin? A melange of flavors hit me at the first sip and didn’t stop until I finished.
Coffee and chocolate, some bourbon and some toast, figs and plums, a touch of vanilla and a little rye edge. It all went together very well.
The feel had that promised viscosity, this is a sipping beer, and I did.
OA, the only thing I didn’t like about it was that it was my only one and I won’t be able to taste it again. Good beer!

Pours black with two fingers of caramel colored foam. Head has decent retention, bubbling away to reveal oily legs on top of the liquid (heavy beer!) Flavor profile is thick and boozy roasty and toasty malts with caramel, toffee, and (minor) fig behind. A little rye pokes through the mix. Smells boozy and heavy, with coffee sprinkled throughout. Flavor profile is roasty and toasty malts with a splash of caramel, toffee, and fig. Fig is much stronger than the nose. Barrel is still present with a forward char, but not as bitter as the nose. Rye whiskey behind. Coffee is present throughout, and seems to mirror the initial roasty and toasty malts, meaning the coffee is less potent at sip, but vibrant as close. Mouth feel is thick. Not much in the way of effervescence, offering up light grit, but it's inconsistent and moderate. Overall, thick and boozy stout with wonderful additions.

draft pour into a stemless wine glass. pitch black with a finger and a half of mocha brown foam head. huge coffee and chocolate on the nose. more bourbon as it warms. the taste is like a chocolate-covered coffee bean dipped in bourbon. magnificent combination of flavors and it gives off as much milk chocolate as it does nutty, chocolate coffee. full mouthfeel. super smooth. hides the abv well. only knock might be the barrel character but it’s there and this is honestly fantastic.
