Thick looking, clear and dark brown color; relatively thin and rather fizzy head that fades to a patchy presence. Dark chocolate and cacao nibs; faint woodiness. Full on chocolate brownie flavor with a decent presence of whiskey; dark roasted grain bitterness. Heavy body; thick and sticky; boozy warmth.
This is one of those beers that I wonder what it would taste like fresher. And this is not a complaint. As it is, the beer is quite tasty with its rich decadence oozing through its thick, viscous body. Yes, indeedy! This is a very memorable beer treat.

poured from a 12oz can into a perennial snifter. pours a thick and oily black with less than a finger of mocha brown foam head. head quickly fades into a thin collar around the glass. bourbon, oak, chocolate and dark fruits on the nose with this one. taste is heavier on the chocolate, bourbon and oak. it’s got some barrel sting to the finish which i dig. full mouthfeel. another solid 2nd shift BA stout. idk if these are as complex as the BA LSDs but they’re definitely enjoyable and this one has some nice bourbon heat to it.

Pours black with a finger of khaki-tan foam. Aroma is rich brownie batter, baker's chocolate, and toffee with roasty and toasty malts just beyond. A sliver of barrel and char married alongside whiskey notes adds some heat and depth to the back. Flavor profile is brownie batter, fudge, and baker's chocolate mixed with whiskey and mild barrel and char. Roasty and toasty malts are present throughout, but play a support role to the initial notes listed. Mouth feel is medium-thick with whiskey/alcohol seemingly flattening out both texture and effervescence. Overall, rich heavy stout notes paired up with potent whiskey.
