Enjoyed on-tap @ the Bridge Wine House & Tap Bar in St. Louis, MO for $7. Tapped from the Wooden Handle into a 12oz Mini Pint Glass. Looked like this was a limited brew, so I decided to try.
Aroma- Starts with a nice citrus/piney hop aroma that is VERY strong. May be dry-hopped but not sure... Smells sweet and like it has a strong alcohol aroma.
Appearance- Received with a 1 finger head that stays around for a minute or so. The body is a light red/copper toned color and has a bit of a haze. Not much lacing though... Not sure why.
Flavor- Very high flavor of hop that has the piney and citrus taste like the aroma did. Fruity in the taste and cool that you can taste this! Ends with a nice hop bitterness that isn't too overpowering.
Mouthfeel- Medium Bodied, Medium Carbonation, but then not so much smooth... There is a tough gritty aftertaste at the back of the mouth that I didn't appreciate. There is a maltiness that is left as well.
Overall Impression- Highly priced for this IPA but didn't mind because it was my first beer from Second Shift Brewery. There were some awesome attributes with this beer! I'm hoping to have more of their stuff but haven't seen it around at all... Drinkability was tough but am always ready for this with an American IPA's. Cheers Second Shift! Great brew.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
