Pour black with a finger of khaki foam. It features moderately heavy oily legs on top of the visible hefty liquid below. Aroma is bourbon and rye - leaning more towards the former. Roasty and toasty malts pair up with dark fruits to round out the aroma. Flavor profile is dark fruits, fig, and toffee layered ornately over bourbon and sly rye barrel. Not overly hot. As the beer warms, and character develops, leather, mild toffee shows up with the finish leaning into brownie batter. Mouth feel is creamy with a rich, fine silt throughout. Thickness is thick and full. Overall, wonderful depth and execution. Smooth drinker.

poured from a 12oz can into a TG DBA tumbler. pours a thick and shiny black with a quick-to-fade mocha brown foam head. whisky, oak, tobacco, light chocolate and leather on the nose. taste mostly follows although it’s a little more chocolate and vanilla than the nose. still has some earthy tobacco and lighter dark fruits to it. thick, full mouthfeel. solid.
