Notes of stone fruit, currants, banana, and molasses. Spices and caramel notes blend together deliciously Our brewer Todd’s homage to his favorite band.

A: creamy 1-finger head, decent lacing, weak retention, hazy amber body.
S: Strong toffee notes, almost like caramel corn, malt notes similar to red ale. Nice but not really to style on the nose.
T: strong notes of malt, very reminiscent of an amber ale, subdued peach notes, some phenolic notes, mild malty sweetness in the finish with hints of Candi sugar
M: pleasantly dry finish, medium body
O: Personally I don’t really think this is a service to the style. It’s by no means bad, but I wouldn’t reach for it again. To me, if I can confuse it for a boozy amber ale, it’s not really in Belgian territory. One note is not the right way to say it, flat might be. I don’t mean that in terms of carb, I mean, it taste like a local brewery got in over their heads and made something they really didn’t know how to make. Again, it’s by no means bad but I’m a big fan of the style and have had a lot of examples and I would not buy this again.

From a tall aluminum can, this beer is a deep reddish brown color. It produces a fizzy tan head that doesn't last long. The aroma has chocolate, spice, a whiff of alcohol, and some Belgian esters. The taste is warming, a little sweet up front, but it balances out, and a continued spice note. Flavorful, but not over the top. It's okay.

16oz can. Poured out a dark amber color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left sudsy lacing on the glass. It smelled of dried dark fruits, banana, clove and spices. Sweet malty caramel with dark fruits and toffee.
