Like the soft wind over a beach dune, our Sawgrass Wheat is crisp and refreshing. It’s the perfect beer to sip while watching the tide roll in, lolling on a jon boat, or barbecuing with friends.

If you like laid-back Sunday afternoons, Sawgrass Wheat is calling your name. A pleasant beer, Sawgrass Wheat will please even the pickiest of palettes. There’s nothing prickly about our smooth wheat brew.

It’s seasonal, so make sure to stop by the Pensacola Bay Brewery to try a taste. Just like long summer nights and fireflies, the gentle Sawgrass Wheat is available for a short time only.

And don’t worry, our wheat beer is made with the finest ingredients, never with sawgrass.

Had on tap at local establishment on Panama City Beach while visiting an old friend visiting on vacation. Poured a cloudy orange with a sustained, fluffy white head. I am surprised at the low scores here as the ale had a very refreshing and crisp flavor of wheat, mild hops and a pleasant backbone of malt. It remained quaffable sip after sip. No, it is not hugely complex, but for a warm weather, low alcohol beer, it possessed more flavor than many stronger brews, including some well known wheat ales. I would not hesitate to order it again.

I had this beer at the hotel I was staying at on the Gulf of Mexico, and it was a decent beer. There wasn't a whole lot of flavor but it was good for drinking in the hot sun. It tastes like a watered down wheat beer and has that light bread taste. Not a bad beer if you are in the area though.

I had a draft of this at the Pensacola airport on my way to Gulf Shores Alabama. Not really that good but I was glad to see local beer at such a small, remote establishment. I also had the IPA and found this to be a little better.

Appearance was as it should be. Light orange, fluffy head.

Some wheaty aroma but not much overall. Flavor as well was pretty unremarkable.

Try it but don't expect too much.
