Awesome opaque copper pour. Nose is malt heavy with toffee. Taste is again malt forward with a distinct alcohol and hops burn at the finish the barrel aging lingers. Overall this is a fine brew.

Wow. If you somehow found this beer, boy are you in for a treat. The caramel malt, a distinct hoppy flavor reminiscent of caramelized sugar and perfectly accented bourbon flavors actually hit at separate times as the bouquet unfolds across your tongue. It’s a wild ride, and the alcohol is dangerously hidden in the undertones.

Poured a copper orange body with good head and lace retention. A blend of wood and hops in the aroma with some vanilla like sweetness coming in as well. Interesting beer as it comes across more like a barleywine with a semi-hot feel (the ABV is slightly muted but at 13.5%, come on, it can't be completed muted) and a woody smoothness and bourbony, vanilla like sweetness. The hops are overpowered but they are noticeable in the finish as there is a crisp, hoppy, bite. I don't really think of this beer as an IPA, yet alone a "Quad IPA", but it is a good beer and worth checking out.
