This is a solid sour red... color is spot on, and the flavor is there. Really nice bright apple aroma and a bit of pear/grape, as well. It is definitely a sour, but there is an underlying malt backbone that's quite nice. Mouthfeel is smooth and crisp.

Really good sour!!!! As good as some Belgians....and from a local Tidewater VA brewery too!!!!! Poured from a bomber into a flute glass. Beautiful, mostly clear amber color and a small antique white head, very bubbly and fast fading. Lacing is minimal. Aroma and flavor include light fruit (apples and pears) and plenty of Belgian and wild yeast. The sourness level is high but not off-putting. Compares very favorably with Belgian sours. Mouthfeel is crisp, and tart/sour. Rich enough for the style. THis one is worth seeking out. I will be looking for more from this brewery, possibly growlers from Grape and Gourmet in VA Beach.
