L: Poured from a tallboy can to a pint glass. Had a deep, dark, mahogany brown color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a quarter inch of foamy, tan-colored, somewhat long-lasting head. Average lacing.
S: A decent, if slightly muted, aroma of coffee, chocolate, roasted malt, and booze.
T: Tasted of a decent amount of roasted malt (present throughout; a major ingredient), some light bourbon notes (and its accompanying barrel - surprisingly subtle), some coffee (less than expected), and a bit of chocolate as well. Not a bad flavor, but like the aroma, it's a little underpowered. Still, not bad.
F: An average amount of carbonation with a smooth finish. Medium-bodied.
O: Definitely an uneven beer, but it has some good attributes. Worth a try.

Can dated 02/28/19 into pint glass. Pours a nice opaque black with a brief tan head. Impressive thus far. Initial impression is coffee and bourbon, as advertised. I'm still impressed. Mouthfeel is perhaps a tad on the light side, but over the medium line into full-bodied territory (as it should be). Finish is smooth and invites the next sip.
Damn. This is pretty good. My first from Reaver Beach, and I'm impressed!

16 oz can poured into a snifter glass.
L: Pours a deep black with a finger of khaki colored head.
S: Tons of coffee almost like a freshly poured cup, as well as some roasted and chocolate malts.
T: Roasted coffee forward with chocolate flavors that follow. The coffee flavors remain after each sip. Smooth creamy mouthfeel.
F: Medium to full bodied with light carbonation.
O: A nice easy drinking stout with tons of coffee flavor. The bourbon barrel coffee beans seem to add a bit of a different flavor than regular coffee.

Murder of Crows, Double Coffee Stout, Conditioned with Bourbon Barrel Aged Coffee, 8% ABV, Packed on 2/20/2019.
Deep and dark, a nice whiff of freshly roasted coffee beans pops up through my Hardywood Gingerbread stout glass. Smells like fresh pressed coffee. Tastes follows through -- a beautifully balanced and rich stout without going over the 8% ABV range. Nuttiness and lots of chocolate and coffee flavors linger in the finish. Melty mouthfeel, like fresh cream in a cup of dark roast coffee. Medium-full bodied. Carbonation is pretty good.
Reaver Beach flies under the radar again, but this crow should be showing up in your fridge if you dig coffee stouts.
