Thanks to Mike for this rare tick. Served in a tulip at Chris' place.
A - Quick-dissolving tan foam settles to a thin collar and no lacing, leaving behind a few bubbles on top. Hazed, dark brown-amber body.
S - Odd. Lots of tart green apple skin mingles with white chocolate and icing sugar sweetness. Fruity, as you'd except from the style, but not much wheat presence. Hint of alcohol.
T - The taste is a mix of toffee, apple, fruity yeast - perhaps from the sake contribution, and an odd hop bitterness in the finish. Alcohol is better hidden here thankfully.
M - Medium body, super dry texture, pleasant carbonation, and well-hidden alcohol.
D - Pretty crummy. An interesting idea, but seems poorly executed. I managed to get through my small pour but had no interest in getting any more of this one.

Hits the style, but gets there interesting enough. FIrst a lot of cereal in the mouth, with booze behind it. The sake yeast is not distinguishable. Drinkable as a sipper, but not unpleasant..Radek's bottle from this newer brewery.Above average mouthfeel.

Reviewed during a tasting (thanks to radek for bringing this bottle).
Typhoon Anniversary Ale - fermented with sake yeast.
A: Pours a nice light brown with red hues. There is a bit of khaki colored head that leaves minimal lacing as it drinks.
S: It smells of sweet malt, a touch of vinegar, and brown sugar. The nose is a nice mix of sweet and astringent. There is a bit of booze in the nose, but it's not overwhelming.
T: The flavors in this beer are malty sweet with some light roasty, toasty notes. There is some booze in the back end, but for an 11% beer it's not overly noticeable. There are some strong bitters in the finish, but I'm enjoying it.
M: Medium bodied beer. There beer coats the palate but moves off nicely over time. I get some lingering bitterness but it mellows out with each sip and becomes less apparent.
O: This is a really nice wheatwine. The taste is better than the nose, and I ended up enjoying it quite a bit. It's not great, but it's solid.
