One time offering from Beach Brewing as part of their rotating cask on Saturdays. First glass from the cask into a pint glass.
A: Yellow, grain-like appearance with a subtle white lacing around the edges of the glass that hung around.
S: Smells of hops, little pine, vanilla, slight sweetness, and a hint of coconut on the end of the nose. Not as strong as I was expecting.
T: Wow. The regular hammerhead is average, but the coconut and lime infused into this is amazing. Tastes like fresh coconut with lime...who would have thought. Has a slight bitterness that accompanies the sweet components well and it would easily be sessionable.
M: Light and crisp. The coconut really comes thru after you set it down and let it coat your mouth.
O: This was fantastic. The fresh ingredients really made this, and maybe thats why they cant keep these specialties on tap at all times. It was easily one of my favorite IPA's that isn't hop forward but rather accentuates the fruits that are infused rather than drowning them out. These types of beers are what their average/dull Hammerhead IPA was made for.
