Thanks to wethorseblanket for sharing this one at drewone's place.

Pours an opaque black with a foamy dark khaki head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Foamy streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of dark roasted malt, cocoa, cookie dough, vanilla, and alcohol. Taste is much the same with a coffee bean flavor on the finish. There is a mild amount of roasty bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is tasty and easy to drink.

Pours a nearly black and opaque with a mocha head that disappears a little too quickly. Otherwise, a gorgeous brew. Very rich, dark roast coffee aromas. Creamy milk chocolate and coffee flavors dominate, with some cherry emerging. Finishes with coffee acidity. Mouthfeel is extraordinarily creamy, but not viscous. Wonderful stout. Although, the ABV that it is listed here on BA as having is not accurate. According to the chalkboard at Coronado, this beer is 10% ABV.

Pours jet black with a two inch head.

smell- coffee and dark chocolate.

Taste- starts out harsh with strong burnt malt that opens up to more of a dark chocolate and coffee taste. Very bitter finish not sure if its from the malt or hops .

Overall- a good english stout. The bitterness tames as the beers warms

Had this one on tap at Capone's in Norristown, PA.

A: Black, opaque body. 1-2 fingers of tan head that lingers.

S: Roasted malt, chocolate and coffee notes.

T: Slight caramel. More chocalate and coffee. The alcohol presence became more prevalent as it warmed. I thought I detected a bit of oakiness too.

M: Light to medium bodied. Very smoothe.

D: Very easy drinking. A nice stout that I could easily enjoy a few of.

On tap at Capone's. Should this be the 'Stoopid' Stout vs. 'Stupid'?

Poured a dark, dark brown color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of chocolate, caramel, lightly roasty, nutty, and I was getting some floralness. Tastes of chocolate, caramel, coffee, roast, and vanilla. Nice lacing left on the glass with the alcohol content well hidden.

A- deep brown with a tiny but creamy off white head, decent retent and silky lacing

S- currants, roasted malts, creamy, malty

T- currants, creamy malt sweetness, roasted malts, chocolate and nutty with a roasty aftertaste

M- creamy full body with some hop feel at finish

D- simple but tasty, solid stout but didn't notice any Belgian influences as advertised. worth a try
