I had this on-tap in a taster glass at the brewery.
Appearance: rich golden hue with a very light haze and a thin layer of ivory foam. Not bad at all.
Smell: rich caramel aroma with a bit of fruitiness and a hint of hops. Quite a nice touch.
Taste: uff da. A hint of caramel at the beginning and then it’s all corn, all the time. Just moistened corn pops. This is not particularly present at all in the aroma. Just not my bag at all.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess. Not bad at all — I just wish it tasted better.
Overall: man. I want to give this beer a chance. I know barley can sometimes create a corn-like flavor, but — this beer is like breakfast cereal level of corniness. Not what I’m looking for outside of a cream ale.
