Nice blend of malt and hop aromas. Clear golden colour with excellent head. Nice malty flavour with hops in the finish. Medium to heavy body with low carbonation.

Format: a standard 330mL brown bottle with a decent label, particularly for a standard macro brewery lager.
Appearance: pours out a clear golden colour with a decent head, sinks to leave a reasonable ring and lacing. Enticing.
Aroma: a clean smelling lager - none of that nasty metallic fug. Grassy hops with a pleasant citrus aroma. So far I am impressed.
Taste: a good quality lager with a freshening citrus flavour to back it up. Quite nice but loses some of the freshness evident on the nose.
Aftertaste: the hops back off a bit leaving not really that much to be honest. Still a nice, slightly warming feeling around the mouth.
Mouth feel: lighter to moderate in feel with a moderate carbonation. A touch dry on the finish.
Overall: really quite a tasty beer, and a bit of a surprise at AU$50 a case. easy to drink and with a reasonable spread of flavours on the nose and in the mouth. after some of the other Cricketers' series I wasn't expecting much - this is definitely the best of their beers in my opinion.

I don't know how they do it, but this tastes more like adjuncts than anything else. Plus that sickening sweetness - don't like it at all. Aroma's a bit funky. taste is sweet corn/grain- no malt or hop. Nothing out right bad is about the only "good" thing I can say.

A Pours a golden, amber colour with frothy, bubbly head that diminishes to a thin film
S - Grainy with a hint of citrus, but very average.
T - Grainy, grassy notes and thats about it. A hint of of the citrus, lemon but more like a shandy
M - very watery and light
O - Why oh why did I buy this? Would rather a VB...A very ordinary lager that is bland in every way. Don't bother.

A: Pours a golden color with a thick head that fades slowly to bits of lacing.
S: Mild aroma of some citrus malt sweetness and grain.
T: Fairly bland taste of malt sweetness and grain. Mild bitterness and a dry finish.
F: Light body and smooth, not a lot here.
O: Non-offensive Pale Lager on and ocean of lager beers.

Surprisingly like Heineken - ok there I have said it, basically a comparison not a review.
Bought to go with curry and did the job quite well.
Aromas and taste benefit from the fact that good freshness is obvious, and lifts the Euro-aligned taste up a notch.
Not as bad as others might make out.

I found the back of this intriguing; "brewed with the finest Amarillo hops", sounds delish, let's give it a run. Drunken ironically while watching the cricket.
Poured from a 330ml bottle into a tulip pint.
A: Clear and golden, everything a lager should be. The head started out really excited (like a teenage boy getting a fake ID) but died down to a typical Aussie pub thin lacing... slight disappointment crept in.
S: Smells typically like a grainy lager, but what's that? Spicy and floral hops! In a lager? Get. Out. Of. Town. Go on, now! There was a genuine surprise that maybe the label on the back of a bottle (finest Amarillo hops) was not mere hyperbole... let's find out!
T: Hop promise not fulfilled. Yes there is a slight grassy hop presence, but it's otherwise boring lager grain flavours all the way here. Oh well, they tried didn't they? Other than being an average lager it has a Helles dry slant. There is a hint of something artificial in there as well, like the smell of burnt plastic it raises hairs on my neck that I can't quite put my finger on but I suspect it's something macro-brewers love to use to save money (i.e. flavour enhancers and other crap).
M: Crisp, dry and watery. Carbonation is a little less obvious than most lagers.
D: Drinkable like a glass of cold water in Antarctica... wait that's probably what they drink there, anyway you get the picture. Although it is not as bad as the many Australian macro lagers out there (VB, Toohey's, Carlton Cold), I'm not exactly hard pressed to go out and buy another.
Food match: Fast food, anything you can eat with your hands will do, it's not exactly fine dining but neither is the brew.

Pours gold with a small quickly fading white head.
Nose is very mild with a little sweet malt and a hint of corn. No hops.
Very similar flavours, the same light sweet malt and no bitterness.
Carbonation is too high, way too high.
Not much to say about this, very plain.

Clear straw colour with a small, short lasted white head.
Mild sweet malt with a mild fruity hop aroma. Not bad actually.
Slightly fruity with a touch of acetaldehyde and benzaldehyde. Not bad but a little flawed.
Medium-light body with moderate carbonation. Fine.
A drinkable lager with a couple of technical flaws.

Enjoyed before a meal at Sourcedining, Albury.
Pours a clear gold colour with steady moderate bead up the glass. Head is decent when poured; sinks to leave a ring of puff at the edge and reasonable lace webs behind. Pretty decent, could have better head retention.
Nose is clean and lagery, with nice herbal grassy notes and a pleasant citric twang from the hops. Yeah, nice fruit hiding behind the crisp bitterness, a decent clean lager smell.
Taste is alright. A fair amount of that clean lagery attenuation flavour, with nice subtle citric twang giving slight ascerbicness and a hint of buttery malt underneath. Finish consists largely of bland hops, with slight bready overtones. Clean enough to enjoy but not very tasty.
Mouthfeel is light, with a quite nice carb sizzle that is well tamed and not too effervescent; just a nice lager tezture.
Yeah, decent lager. Pretty smooth as it goes down.
