Pours an opaque golden color. Smell is slightly above average with the usual earthy, hoppy, resiny smells. The taste reflects the smell with an initial great hop punch and a piney taste, there is a lingering metallic aftertaste which lasts. It persists throughout the entire pint. Really making this a struggle to drink. The mouthfeel is on the lighter side of medium with sufficient carbonation, as expected of the style. It feels nice but the taste is really making it hard to enjoy. Overall, this would be a very nice pale ale if not for the lingering metallic aftertaste. Shame because it smells nice and feels nice.

On tap at Packinghouse Brewing Company in Riverside, CA.
The board listed this batch at 5.6% ABV.
Pours a clear orange with a foamy orange-tan head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Foamy rings of lace line the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt and subdued citrus fruit and citrus zest aromas. Taste is much the same with caramel and citrus flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of roasty bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer but it's definitely more malt forward over the hops.

A: The pour is a pale straw color with a big white head on it and some nice lacing.
S: Good citrus notes to the beer, which are augmented by the addition of oranges. Plenty of floral notes from the hops as well. Bready malts provide a good base and there's just a hint of pine.
T: A bit too bitter, but otherwise a good flavor. Floral and citrus hops, primarily orange with some grapefruit peel, give this a nice hop flavor. Solid bread and malt flavors serve as the base.
M: Light to medium in body with a moderate carbonation and a bitter finish.
O: A good beer/pale ale, but I found it to have a bit too much bitterness.

Sampled 4/2/2011 at the brewery.
Pours golden yellow, clear, white head, decent lacing and good retention.
Aroma is fish food (old hops), citrus (oragne specifically), and a little peach and earthiness.
Flavor is decently hoppy and bitter for an easy drinking pale ale. Unlike the aroma the fish food takes a back seat to the malt, orange (the brewer said he actually puts peels from locally grown oranges in this beer), and some herbal qualities.
Body is light and drinkable.
