Deep orange gold color. Large white very foamy head. Aroma is malty with a touch of orange. A medium bodied ale. Malts are nutty, fruity and semi-sweet. Touches of orange. Hops are spicy and floral. Nicely balanced. Finishes dry and clean. No alcohol bite. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Sampled on tap at the On Tap Brewpub in UTC 12/12/03. Apparently this is their Dusseldorf style amber (alter ego amber) but with double the ingredients.
Poured a deep amber color. Not much head
Mild hop aroma. Smells like a regular amber.
Starts out with a nice malty taste, but then bittering hops take over and it's mostly bitter from there. Not especially floral. The 8% alcohol is not obvious.

Sampled @ Strong Ale Fest San Diego
The beer pours a limpid deep amber color with a light tan and semi-creamy head that is modest in size and the resultant lace a thin sheet to cover the glass. Nose is sweet malt, crisp and fresh with a light hint of hop floral also noticed with the start sweet and a nice bit of malt, the top moderate in its feel. Finish is delightfully carbonated the hops persistent in their spiciness, very dry aftertaste and a fine drinking beer.
