Corsair Artisan Brewery "Tripel"
on tap at the tasting room on 5 April 2015
Notes: Listed at 8.4% ABV.Clear golden body beneath a frothy head of bright white. Both the head retention and lacing are very good. The aroma is sweetish with sugary golden malt, phenolic with Belgian yeast characteristics, slightly woody, and tropically fruity. Quite nice. The flavor follows the aroma completely with just a moderate bitterness that leaves it a bit sweet and malty overall. The alcohol never shows other than offering a "presence" that's pretty much required of the style. Full bodied. With a touch more refinement (read as fermentation, or less malt), this could be great.
