Corsair Artisan Brewery "Hickory Alt"

Notes: Clear deep amber body beneath a short head of off-white foam. Average head retention and lacing. Roasty in the nose, or is that smoke? The flavor delivers toasty, nutty, and lightly chocolatey malt with the hickory becoming apparent (80% smoked malt was used). Subtly fruity. A median bitterness balances it. Medium bodied and crisp. No alcohol shows, even at 8.9% ABV. Nicely done. Unique.
