Corsair Artisan Brewery "Imperial Irish Stout"
on tap at the tasting room on 5 April 2015
Notes: Listed at 9.2% ABV. Typical appearance of an Irish stout with a black body and tan head. Roasty and fruity in the nose. Lots of fruit in the flavor, and the alcohol is quite clear but some soft cocoa helps to round it. Stiffly bitter with a dry, roasty and fruity finish. Medium bodied with a median carbonation. Interesting. Stronger than a Foreign export stout, and without the body and bitterness, and not a Russian Imperial stout either. Unique. They might be on to something.
