Pours dark coffee stout color with a light khaki foamy crown on draft at Figueroa Mountain Brew Co. Floral and earthy notes make this a really nice Dark IPA. Slightly sweet as it warms.

Poured a greyish charcoal black with a beige head. Aromas were of pine resin and some roasty earthy hops. Drinking this beer is like biting into a pine cone - nay, the whole darn pine tree! It's super piney, earthy, barky, and resiny. Expect a pine-cone bomb.

On tap at Fig
Dark brown (light black?) with great head
Huge pine aroma with some grapefruit and toasted malt
Taste is more toasted malt and less pine but still some nice hop oil and classic west coast IPA flavors
Kind of light-medium body
Really good beer...maybe the best black IPA in CA

Pours black with a two finger mocha white head. The nose is primarily pine with a little citrus. There is a nice roastiness from the malt and a hint of chocolate. The flavor is all pine and roast. It's like biting a burnt pine cone. I feel like this bottle might be a little old because i remember a bit bigger of a hop presence. Still quite good.
