Appearance - Pours hazy and golden straw in color with a white, finger width head. Fair retention, dissipating to a thin, broken layer of surface suds and a thin ring around the edge. Lacing consists of broken lines and minute spots.
Smell - Bready, with faint grain and a touch of must, backed by grass and lemony hop character.
Taste - Earthy grain is the predominant flavor here, then grassy bitterness slides in and slaps you with it's waxy bitterness. Faint lemony notes hit near and into the finish to accompany that grassy bitterness.
Mouthfeel - Light in body with minimal carbonation before a mostly dry finish.
Overall - A bit too grain-forward for my preference, as it doesn't lend to a smooth drinking experience. It's decent, but not what I look for in a Czech Pilsner.

Pours a hazy golden-orange with a foamy off-white head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of grain, earth, and grass aromas. Taste is much the same with grain, grass, and floral flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a low level of carbonation with an almost flat mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with a solid grassy hop presence all around.

Appearance: Straw colored with a good head of foam, decent lacing, and plenty of carbonation.
Smell: Biscuit malts, yeast, and a hint of grassy hops.
Taste: Biscuit malts, yeast, spice, citrus and grassy hops.
Mouthfeel: Light to medium bodied, crisp, refreshing. A slight peppery aftertaste.
The Verdict: Good beer. I realize I could almost just copy and paste my review of Firestone Walker's Pivo Pils. This one isn’t quite as hoppy and falls more into the pilsner side of things. I like it.
Fig happens to be located a couple of blocks from Firestone’s Buellton location. Coincidence? Hmm...
