Brewed at their Westlake location, this beer was brewed with the Maltose Falcons Homebrew club. Aroma is rich and malty. Notes of dark caramel, smoked beech, but surprisingly no alcohol for a beer this big. The flavor is even richer. Malt dominates with melanoidins dancing on the back of your tongue. Mild roasty flavors, light smoke, and the alcohol is unavoidable. Surprisingly dry for as malty of a beer as this. Yes, it has a big body, but one is needed to support 10%. Think of this beer as a cross between a dopplebock and English barley wine. It will only improve with age. If you're a malt lover, run don't walk. It won't be around long.
