Small light brown head falls into a decent lacing atop a clear dark brown porter.
Roasted malts aroma with something more, licorice or molasses something like that, in the background.
Taste is mixed with roasted malts forefront and molasses, prunes, black licorice mixed taste coming through.
A medium bodied beer, was hoping for a fuller mouth feel from a porter but still nothing bad, just wanted more.
A light dry aftertaste with a lot of roasted malts tastes hanging around after drinking a glass of this.
A pretty decent beer, but I think it leans more towards the taste of browns than most all porters I have drank. This was more like a rich dark good tasting Newcastle with more of a mouth feel like Newcastle has.
